Sustainable salons minimize the salon footprint

Hair: All that hair could have been thrown out for landfill, and what a waste of potential that would be! 
Hair is one of the most underestimated renewable resources out there. That’s why sustainable salons has done their research and developed new ways to use recycled hair, as oil adsorbing booms, a high grade fertiliser and even in your tech!

Chemicals: Did you know 95% of salon chemical waste is actually water? So why not recycle it!
Instead of all these chemicals being rinsed down the sink and polluting our waterways, sustainable salons help give them a second life by neutralising them to be reused as recycled water.
This also means we can better conserve our natural water supplies when a high-purity product is not needed.

Metals: Did you know aluminium is infinitely recyclable? That’s right, it can be re-melted over and over again without losing any of its properties!
Re-melting used aluminium also saves up to 95% of the energy and 97% of the water needed to produce the primary product.
That’s why sustainable salons are committed to sending all your used foils, colour tubes and cans right back to our salon in the form of new and shiny (and completely recycled) products!

​Paper:  Paper is one of, if not the most well-known recyclable material out there, and salons come across a lot of it!
Did you know paper products can be recycled multiple times?
Whether it’s the stacks of magazines that keep clients occupied, paper or cardboard packaging from all their products, wooden spatulas or just plain old office paper, we’ve got you covered.

Plastic: Plastic takes hundreds of years to break down, and even then microplastics remain polluting our land and oceans.
With the salon industrys’ heavy use of plastics, sustainable salons knew a real impact can (and has!) been made by recycling a huge amount of plastic.
They’ve collaborated with awesome organisations like Dresden Vision and Defy Design to help them in this mission, with some super cool products to show for it!

Ponytails: We are very proud to say that Sustainable Salons is the largest charitable collector of ponytails in the WORLD.
​All those valuable locks go to charitable organisations and wigmakers to change the lives for those suffering from medically-induced hair loss.

What is Balayage?
Balayage is for all hair types and hair colours. Balayage allows for a sun-kissed, natural looking hair colour, with softer, less noticeable re-growth.
It’s a beautiful technique that can be dialed up or down, perfectly personalised depending on the desired end finish. The technique uses patches of light and shade to create multiple dimensions to the colour. 
The depth of balayage can vary so much from a ‘few small highlights that will only take a matter of minutes to a full on, triple process look that can take hours. 
​The principal idea being less is more when creating a natural, multi-tonal finish.
Choose between a soft freehand application or a strong and striking money piece achieved with extra lift through foils and babylights.

It targets damaged hair to prevent hair breakage while creating movement and enhancing hair's body.
Volume Injection activates root lift for maximum volume. 

How to use Volume Injection Conditioner:
After shampooing, apply and distribute through hair.

​Volume Maximizer is a lightweight volumizing spray for all hair types and textures that adds weightless, flexible volume with instant results for thicker-looking hair. 
 This spray adds flexible volume to your hair from the roots to the ends.

Volume Maximizer is formulated with ceramides and polymers to help provide the hair with all day volume and body.

How to use:
Spray onto clean damp hair and comb through.
Or spray into hands and work through for a more even application.
Air dry or blow dry style as usual.

Can be layered with other styling products.
